Why Unity Support Co was created

Unity Support Co was built with a simple but important purpose: to create a more connected, thoughtful, and empowering support experience for participants and their families.

Hi, I’m Alicia — co-founder of Unity Support Co and an active support worker.

I’ve been working with people with disabilities and additional needs since the age of 20, starting out as a volunteer in a school’s special education unit — something I was incredibly passionate about from day one.

From there, I transitioned into support work, where I saw firsthand the impact that consistent, genuine care can have on someone’s life.

That experience led me to create Unity Support Co — with a clear goal: to bridge the gap between support workers and participants.

I’m passionate about ensuring every individual receives the right support, from the right people — while also giving participants a stronger voice, choice, and confidence within their NDIS journey.
